Each of the Carbon High School swim team’s six relay teams has qualified for the State meet, along with individual swimmers based on times from the Region 12 meet held on Saturday. The Girls 200 Medley relay broke their own record from the previous meet, with Megan Swasey, Sadie Crompton, Veronica Ibanez and Kaisha Lott swimming a 2:05.25, almost a second quicker than their school record of 2:06.82. Ibanez also broke the school record for the Girls 100 Fly with a time of 1:05.85. The previous record was 1:06.14. The first and second place finishers from each of the events qualifies for the State meet, with more swimmers with qualifying times being announced on Wednesday.
