WELLINGTON-Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Carol Adair Rich, age 71, passed away peacefully January 29, 2016 at her home in Wellington.
She was born February 8, 1944 in Price, Utah to Arnie C. and Mary Taylor Adair. Married Leon A. Rich, December 28, 1960 in Price, Utah; they later divorced.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Carbon County who took great pride in farming, riding horses and caring for animals. She shared a special love for the outdoors and some of her favorite hobbies included fishing, painting, gardening and canning. Carol lived for her children and everything she done was dedicated towards them. Carol was a tireless worker who for years owned and operated Flagging Specialists.
She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Debra Lynn (John R.) Brinkley, Kirt Leon Rich & Jessica Fortner, all of Wellington, Leon Rex Rich & Carrie Vetere, Nephi; brother, Arnold (Jackie) Adair, Wellington; sister, Shirley Miller, Price; sisters-in-law, Vivian Colleen Adair, Wellington, Ruth Adair, Kansas; 7 loving grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret “Molly” Edwards; brothers, Jim Wynn, Jeral Adair and Howard Adair.
Funeral service, Wednesday, February 3, 2016, 12:00 noon, Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Carol online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
