PRICE-Allen John Lloyd Sr., age 65, passed away on the morning of Saturday, January 30, 2016. Allen battled cancer for the last few years and now joins his wife Jody Ray Bright Lloyd who died on December 25, 2015. He is now free and at peace.
Allen was born August 22, 1950 in Price, Utah to Johnny E. and Dorothy Layman Lloyd. Married Jody Bright on September 3, 1988 in Price and they enjoyed 27 years of companionship prior to her passing.
Allen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended schools and grew up in Price, Utah where he was blessed with many wonderful friends. Allen honorably served in the Navy during Vietnam where he did two tours on an aircraft carrier as an airplane mechanic. Allen enjoyed spending time in the mountains, fishing and being with family. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America where he worked for Energy West for 27 years.
Allen also joins his father, Johnny E. Lloyd; step-father, Lawrence Young; and step-siblings, Alan, and Bobby Young.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy L. Young; siblings, Linda, Gerald, Janet, Patsy and Maryann; step-siblings, Ronnie, Larry, Kenny, Maryanne, Hazel, Ernie, Jimmy, Liz and Robin; his children/grandchildren, Carrie (Ben) Vasquez, Jeffery, Schylar, and Jonathon; Carla Decleene, Daxie, Sebastin, and Trevor; Milton (Tamara) Lloyd, Brinlee, Mike and Will; Allen J. Lloyd Jr. (Tony Oliver); Lucy (Matthew) Snider, Dominic, Tyson, and Zachary; Patricia (Jason) Wichmann, Darien, Daralynne, Rosie, and Kaitlyn; Paul (Julianne) Arce, Olivia, and Kaden, and Calub; Christopher Bright, Tycee, Christian, Braxton, Laska, Eliza. Adopted grandchildren, Johnathon (Annie) Barringer, Emma, and baby boy to be born in March; Aubriella Olsen, and Katie Woodhouse. He is now watching over us all with his loving wife and he will be missed.
A memorial service will be held for both Allen and his wife Jody, Saturday, February 6, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at the Price Fourth LDS Ward Chapel, located at 545 East 400 North in Price.
