Pinnacle Girls’ Cross Country takes first place

The Pinnacle Canyon Academy high school girls’ cross country team took home first place at last week’s meet, their last meet before Region on Wednesday.
The girls’ claimed the top spot at the Titan Cross Country Race in Orem last Wednesday, Oct. 7, giving them good momentum heading into the Region race which will be this Wednesday.
Ruby Maclean, Kaeley Taylor, Misty Bingham, Dellanie Paletta, Kiara Badback, Savana Dart, Lexi Salazar, and Nikki Borba (pictured at left) raced for the Panthers.
The girls will compete against other Region 19 schools in hopes of qualifying for the State tournament. Head coach Mark Stuckenschneider said that the girls will continue practicing and running three and a half miles a day, the length of a regulation meet, in order to be able to come home qualified for State.
