PRICE – Betty L Kiser, 75 died June 23, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Betty was born September 10, 1939 in Miles City, Montana, to John Victor Lloyd and Dorothy E. (Williams-Lloyd) Watson. She attended the First Methodist Church. Betty grew up on Moon Creek, a ranching community outside of Miles City, Montana. Betty graduated from high school at the age of 16 and graduated from Eastern Montana College at the age of 18. Her first teaching job was at a rural school grades 1 thru 6. Betty married Glen Kiser May 24, 1958, and later had 3 children.
Betty enjoyed riding horses, and always had a pet or two as she loved dogs. She also enjoyed camping and traveling in her white truck. She loved playing the card game Canasta with family and friends. Betty worked at a bakery while going to college and could make the best cinnamon rolls ever. When the kids were small, Betty would sew and make clothes for her kids including prom dresses for her girls. Betty had a fun spirit and loved visiting with people. She was involved in local community groups, such as Price City Downtown Alive and the Bear program. She was involved in Laramie Jubilee Days and the Chamber Red Carpet Welcoming Community. The family moved around. Betty lived in Billings, MT, Powell, WY, Laramie WY, East Carbon and back to Laramie. Betty had a second profession as an office manager and payroll clerk for the Northern Hotel in Billings and Powell Ready Mix, as an office manager for Kusa radio in Price and Hits 106 in Laramie. She worked up to a month before she passed.
She is survived by Janet Lei Virnig, East Carbon; twins Jerri Lynn (Randy) Timothy, Price and Johnny Dee (Debra) Kiser, Iowa LA; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren and two great grand children. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, and 4 brothers.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, Price, UT. Burial will be held at the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City, Montana, on September 5. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
