CARBONVILLE- Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Mac T. Worley, age 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Castleview Hospital in Price.
He was born January 15, 1925 in Rains, Utah to Collier Edward and Maude Tidwell Worley.
Mac honorably served in the US Army during WWII. He worked all his life as a coal miner, retiring from US Steel Horse Canyon Mine. Mac was a rancher and a lover of horses, belonging to the Wellington Mountaineer riding club for years. Mac held a Masters degree in bullshitting and tried to avoid crowds at all costs.
Mac has four children with his former wife, Theora Pilling; Pat (Joyce) Worley, Jim Worley, Ann (Rick) Prazen and Mike Worley; six grandchildren, Jason (Deb) Worley, Jill (Monte) Worley Jensen, Amy (Marty) Burrows Olson, Emily Burrows Kosmack, Tommy (Heather) Burrows and Christen Worley Anderson; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lee (Diane) Worley.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred (Enid) Worley; sisters, Irene (Glen) Norton and Molly (Rex) Harrison.
Funeral service, Tuesday, June 9, 2015, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Monday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Wellington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Mac online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
