Jo Bliss Diamanti

SALT LAKE CITY – Marian Josephine Bliss Diamanti, age 84, passed away on June 2, 2015.
She was born on July 28, 1930 to Samuel Marion and Edna May Emert Bliss. Jo weighed only 3.5 lbs at birth, but was determined to grow strong and live her life to fullest.
She grew up in Price and spent many weekends on the Bliss Cattle Ranch in Moab, Utah. Jo graduated from Carbon High School Class of 1948. She worked more than 25 years as a waitress and retired from the Utah State Tax Commission in 1994 after 15 years of service.
Jo enjoyed embroidering and made many special tablecloths and pillow cases for her family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, eating (especially spaghetti), reading and Native American studies.
Jo is survived by her children, Marion O’Connor (Brian Napaepae), Jeff Ciochetto, Abbey (Bill) Becton, Samantha Diamanti (Joe Herrera). She was very proud of her family – which includes her 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Corwin Ajas; and sister, Edna Mahleres. “May her memory be eternal”.
The family would like to thank Cottonwood Creek Assisted Living and CNS Hospice for their dedicated care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015, 3:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will be at Mitchell’s Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at the Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Jo online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
