Three CEU Lady Eagles go up for a kill against CNCC at home.

The Golden Eagle volleyball team headed north for the weekend to take on both of the Idaho schools in the conference. Both CSI and NIC handed CEU another conference loss to take the Eagle record to 1-5.
On Thursday, Oct. 11th the Eagles met up with the College of Southern Idaho. CSI has a strong nationally ranked program and wasted no time in downing the young and struggling Eagles. The scores for the match were CSI 30-12, 30,12, 30-8 over CEU.
Moving further north, Northern Idaho College was next on the schedule. This time the Eagles played a strong match and stayed in it for most of the games. They lost 25-30, 19-30 and 19-30 to NIC.
Coach Brent Martindale was philosophical about the losses. “Mostly more of the same. We played better, but not good enough to get us over the top. We are a young team that is still learning. We continue to improve. We are playing better than we were, but so are the other teams.”
The Eagles get to play their next three matches in the comfort of the BDAC. The home stand kicks off with a game against Colorado Northwestern at 3 pm on Saturday. The squad hopes to garner a win to boost their record to 2-6.
