Ryan Snider adjusts a light on the College of Eastern Utah sign ready to be erected on Wood Hill above Price’s water tanks. The sign was originally constructed decades ago, but fell into disrepair. Spearheaded by CEU’s student government, the project was made possible through a donation of land by Maurine Dorman. Her late husband, Dr. J. Eldon Dorman, was a lifelong contributor to the college. Price officials also granted CEU’s student overnment permission to use nearby city land for placement of the sign. The reconstruction of the sign is under the direction of CEU’s welding department, with engineering by David Ariotti. Ribbon cutting ceremonies are slated April 18 at 1 p.m.
