Local high school and middle school athletes participated in the Stewart Foster Invitational at Huntington State Park on Monday.
The event was hosted by Pinnacle and had local teams Mont Harmon Middle, Pinnacle Junior High, Helper Middle, and Carbon.
Other high school teams that participated were Whitehorse, Maeser Prep Academy, Monument Valley, Green River,and Telos Academy.
Carbon’s James Bryner finished first in the Boy’s Varsity three mile with a time of 18:15.1
Pinnacle’s Landen Hardy came in eighth place with a time of 20:21.7 with teammate Zach Gibson coming in right behind for ninth place with a time of 20:26.8.
Monticello’s Lily Long took first in the Girl’s Varsity three mile with a time of 22:00.5.
Carbon’s Gracie Tatton finished in 10th place with a time of 25:54.8.
Pinnacle’s Kemery Stuckenschneider finished in 13th place with a time of 27:29.6, a team-high on Monday.
In the Boy’s Middle-Junior High 1.6 Mile, Mont Harmon’s Easton Humes finished in first place with a time of 12:18.2.
Mont Harmon’s Ambree Jones finished with a local-team high of 15:15.5 which was good enough for sixth place.
In total there was 221 participants at the event with 92 of those being athletes from local schools.
