The Helper Legion 19U baseball team has advanced to the next round of the 2018 Utah State Legion Baseball Championship.
Last weekend they won the State First Round Tournament in Pleasant Grove.
In the next round of the tournament they will be South Division number one seed.
Helper will take on Syracuse at 8 p.m. Friday at Gates Field in Kearns.
If Helper defeats Syracuse, they will take on the winner of St. George and North Cache on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The State Tournament semifinals on Monday and the championship round on Wednesday will take place at Salt Lake Community College.
Helper finished the regular season in fourth place with an 11-5 record before the tournament last weekend.
Friday’s game against Syracuse will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.
