Jackie Jean West

PRICE-Jackie Jean West, born September 27, 1932 in Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas to Evelyn Henrietta and Olin (Jack) Ricks, died at home May 4, 2018 in Price, Utah.
Faith and family were central to Mrs. West’s life. Active in Bible study groups and Sunday School classes, she always participated in the life of the church wherever she lived. A wonderful seamstress, who loved arts and crafts projects, she regularly made special gifts for her wide circle of family and friends. Involved in the communities which she called home, she was one of the founders of the Burdette Purdum Guild of The San Marino Women’s Club during the two decades she resided in that California town. She loved playing the piano and did so beautifully. A passionate reader, she was never without a book which she was enjoying, read dozens of works each year, regularly went to the library and was quick to recommend, share or give a book she thought might interest a friend or family member. Her professional life saw her retire as the Office Manager of the Los Angeles office of Grant Thornton, the world’s fifth largest accounting firm.
