I was born July 29, 1954, in Price Utah to my wonderful parents, Clyde Lewis Larsen and Edith Pearl Baker Larsen. My oldest sister, Rhea Blanche Larsen had just passed away a few months before I was born. So my 4 brothers, Melvin, Phil, LaMont, and Jimmie, welcomed me into our family.
I loved growing up in Carbonville, surrounded by my family and lots of farm animals. I wasn’t very excited to go to school, hiding out so I would miss the bus, was always a great plan. Just so I could spend more time with Mom.
I finally made it and graduated from Carbon High and decided to get more schooling (go figure). So I could work with children, so off to Provo I went and did just that. Provo became my home away from home until today.
I loved teaching little children and enjoyed doing that for many years. 30 years ago, I was told that Cancer was going to be part of my life. Little did I know that it was going to be with me until today.
I loved spending time with my family. Going out to eat, traveling, vacations, rodeos, ballgames, Christmas parties, camping trips and reunions, all made me happy. My friends became my family too. I love you all.
I am an active member of the United Church of Christ in Provo and loved being with my church family for many years.
I go now to be with my Parents, My Sister whom I finally get to meet, My Sister-in-law Penny June Williams Larsen, My Nephews, Zacharee Clinton Larsen and Britton Clyde Larsen, and My Grandparents, who I have never met.
I am so sad to bid farewell for a time to My Brothers and Sister-in-laws; Melvin Larsen of Miller Creek, Phil and Shanna Larsen of Salem, LaMont and Kriss Larsen of Wellington and Jimmie and Gaylene Larsen of Spanish Fork. My Nephews and Nieces; Clinton, Jaylene, Janell, Amie Jane, Evelyn, Lynetter, Glen, Jennifer, Lyle, Alayna, and Preston, Their spouses and thier families. So many friends and neighbors and my dog “Abby”.
Special Thanks to my Drs., Nurses, Hospitals and Care Centers for helping me on this journey. I have fought a good fight.
My Celebration of life will be held at the United Church of Christ, University Ave. and 175 North in Provo on Tuesday, May 8th 2018, at 11:30. In place of flowers, please donate to the ASPCA for me.
I go now to be with my family and with my Savior. I will wait patiently till we meet again.
