Roy Fredrick Tesch, loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2018 in Salt Lake
City, Utah.
Born July 25, 1931. Roy is survived by his three sons; Timothy (Linda), Michael (Lynette), William (Shelley) and his two daughters; Janis and Jody, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his sister Virjean Lee Bocek.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife JoAnn J Aielloand his second wife Viola O. Wall.
Roy served in the US Navy. Being an avid sports fan, he coached his sons in little league baseball teams and played softball himself for years with the Mountain Bell League. Roy retired from Mountain Bell after more than 25 years of service. He loved the great outdoors, camping, boating and spending time with family.
In later years Roy did a great deal of traveling. Originally from Chicago Illinois area, Roy was known for his love and support of the Chicago Cubs insisting that he would live to see them win the pennant, which he did!
Towards the end of Roy’s life and through many struggles, he continued to keep his sense of humor and kindness. He appreciated all those who cared for him when he could no longer care for himself.
Funeral service, Friday, April 27, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the friends may join the family from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment will directly follow the service at the Mt. View Cemetery in Helper, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Roy online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
