RE: Mrs. Janice Rowley
As many of you know, my wife Janice Rowley taught Kindergarten at the old Durrant School from about 1980 to 1990.
She also taught 2nd graders at Castle Heights Elementary.
While teaching at Durrant Elementary, she initiated a “Kinderwrite” Program where the students were instructed to write short stories of themselves, illustrate them and they were bound into a book.
Someone filmed her class in the process of showing and relating their stories.
While looking through some of my VCR tapes, I discovered the filming of the students doing this.
I had DVDs made of this.
If you or one of your students were in my wife’s class during this period of time and may be interested in viewing this, I would be glad to loan you one of these DVDs to you.
