Heaven gained an angel on Easter Sunday. Perry Sandoval passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his closest family and friends.
Perry was born in Blanco, New Mexico, August 26, 1934 to John and Pauline Sandoval.
He served proudly in the marines. After his service to his country, he returned home and went directly to work as a union coal miner. He was an active member of the UMWA for 60 plus years.
He married Rose Gonzales March 3rd, 1956 in the Little White Chapel. They were married 49 years. Together they raised 6 children and many grandchildren.
Family was always the most important aspect of his life. He was an avid hunter and always loved to be on his horse. In his golden years, the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought him the most happiness.
Proceeded in death by wife, Rose Sandoval, sister, Benice Anderson, and his parents John and Pauline Sandoval.
Survived by his siblings, sister, Priscilla (Bill) Gonzales of Price, brother, Bobby (Glenda) Sandoval of California, brother, Ray (Meg) Sandoval of Wellington, and sister, Susan Maupin of Colorado.
Also survived by his children son, Perry Rick (Ruby) Sandoval, daughters, Darla (Tom) Basso, Barbara (Jim) Wills, Karen (Paul) Sandoval, ReNae (Thayne) Oviatt, Brenda (Jacob) Sandoval, and Christopher, Ricky and Jacob Kouris and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Mitchell’s Funeral Home 233 E Main St, Price, Utah. Family will receive friends also at Mitchell’s Funeral Home Thursday evening, April 5th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment Cliffview Cemetery Price.
