Dale Lee

CARBONVILLE- Dale LeRoy Lee passed away March 2, 2018 at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 21, 1937 in Sweets, Utah to Albert “Bill” and Josephine Newberry Lee.
Our dad had a great life growing up in Spring Glen.  He had so many avenues and adventures during his 80 plus years.  He was a prankster.  If you left your keys in your car he would park it in a different slot and sit across the parking lot waiting and watching as you roamed the lot looking for your car.  He couldn’t wait to tell you the next time he saw you.  Dad was a man that loved God.  He and mom were always helping others any way they could.  After serving in the Army from 1955-1957 he met Laraine Campbell and they were married March 1, 1958 and they were together for 58 inspired years.  She passed away April 6, 2016.
Dale worked for Shell Oil, Utah Power and Light and helped Laraine’s dad, Mandy, build Safeway stores.  Eventually he and his brother Dennis had a garbage pick-up business which they sold and started a trucking company, D&D Equipment and Supply.  They gained many clients that turned into respected friends because of their integrity and hard work.  Dad believed that your word meant something, a hand shake was a solid agreement and without it you were nothing.  Our dad loved the great outdoors and spent it with his family and lifelong friends.  He enjoyed snow mobiles, riding horses, boating, camping, fishing, 4 wheeling and arrowhead hunting. Growing up with our parents was such a blessing.  We were very close.  We will miss you and all the wonderful things you taught us that formed each of our personalities into being more like you.  Love you dad and grandpa.
Survived by his children, Jodie Ezell, Judy (Juan) Tapia, Lori Petzold, Jennifer Maddox; grandchildren, James, Corin, Brian Ezell, Ryan (Angie) Lee, Michelle Flores, Frankie (Jamill) Tapia, Siegi Petzold, Tiffany (Roy) Austin, Brandon, Abagail, Hannah and Dallin; great grandchildren, Isaac, Alex, Bry’Lee, Thomas, Lily, Tavianna, Kayden, Kayla, Darion, Dominick, Kajsai, Keenan, Taci, Brax, Jackson, Gemma.
