“Together Again”
    Hazel Brasher Allred of Spring Glen, Utah passed away at Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah on January 23, 2018 after a brief illness, she was 85.
    Hazel was born October 30, 1932 in Huntington, Emery County, Utah to Kenneth John and Elizabeth Erma Grange Brasher. She attended public schools in Huntington, Carbon College in Price, Utah and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She started her successful 31 year career as an educator in the Elementary School in Spring Glen and then Mont Harmon Junior High in Price.
    On September 15, 1950, she married Jack N. Allred in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She and Jack worked hard over their 63 years of marriage to create a beautiful home in Spring Glen. Hazel could work as hard or harder than anyone and she loved every minute of it. She was a remarkable gardner, cook and seamstress. She and Jack were committed to service and spent 18 months serving in the West Indes Mission which included service on the islands of Grenada and Antigua. After their mission they spent 12 years serving in the Manti Temple.  Hazel loved the 14 years she spent as a Pink Lady volunteer at Castleview Hospital.
    She is survived by her 4 children. Jody Allred Prettyman and Larry Prettyman of Helper, Jenny Lynn Allred Black and Jon Black of Syracuse, Kenneth Joel Allred and Rachael Skinner Allred of Roy and Jason N Allred and J’Lynn Anderson Allred of American Fork. She is also survived by siblings and in-laws: Dr. Ruth E. Brasher of Provo, Elaine Brasher Hatch of Huntington, Pattie Brasher Young of Price, Helen Brasher Mortensen and Lynn Mortensen of Pleasant Grove, John Brasher and Betty Brasher of Spring Glen, Earlene Allred Black of Huntington, Eldyth Allred Wakefield of Price and Fred Allred and DeCarma Allred of Huntington. It also goes without saying that she loved and adored her 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as 4 nephews and 1 niece.
    Funeral service, Saturday, January 27, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Helper LDS Stake Center (150 Ridgeway) in Helper.  Family will receive friends at the Stake Center Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.  Interment, Price City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Hazel online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
