HELPER-Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and longtime friend, Paula Marie Weiss Baughman, age 66, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at her home in Helper.
She was born June 29, 1951 in Price, Utah to Martin and Mary Prazza Weiss. Married Melvin Curtis Baughman, June 21, 1969 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. Mel preceded her in death on November 2, 2017.
Paula was a longtime resident of Helper where she retired from the Balance Rock Credit Union. Paula dedicated her life to family and friends. Paula and Mel were never apart and they traveled all over together. When they were around they were the life of the party. Paula treated everyone like family and the memories created with her will be cherished forever. She loved to explore, care for her dogs and gamble. Paula will be dearly missed by her family and a community of friends.
Paula is survived by her son, Dwayne Baughman, daughter, Nicole Baughman, both of Helper; grandchildren Keisha and Kacey Jones; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Mae Magno and Mary Jane Via, both of Mesquite, NV. Paula was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a community of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mel Baughman; brothers, Charlie (Laura) Via and Pete Via.
Funeral Mass, Friday, December 29, 2017, 10:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass. Committal service, Mt.
