Helen Davis

    Our beloved mother Helen Davis, 81, passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, December 16, 2017 due to illness. She was born to George LaVern and Nellie Andrene Tanner Frandsen in Price, UT on July 11th, 1936 and was the second youngest of 11 children. In 1957, she married Scott Davis of Delta, UT and later divorced. She had five sons, two adopted daughters and a son. Mother resided in North Salt Lake.
    In her youth, she loved participating and listening to music. She was a great pianist and traveled to foreign lands in the early part of her married life. She loved her children and family very much. Helen is a member of the LDS church and followed the Lord throughout her life. She helped send two sons and two other young men on missions. Her desire was to return to the Price City Mountain homestead where she grew up as a child with her family.
Mother always had gardens and raised lots of fruits and vegetables. Throughout her life, there was always a pressure canner on the stove and loved to bottle and store food for her family, extended family, and friends. Her greatest desire was to help others in need.
    Mother is survived by her 8 children, Ken, Robert, Steven, Corry, Michael, Jennifer, Tiffann, Stanley, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Leola and Karen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Lloyd, Bert, Richard, Hazel, Carl, Glenna, John, and Andrene.
Viewing will be 7:00-9:00pm, Friday Dec 22nd, 2017 at Russon Mortuary (295 N Main St, Bountiful, UT 84010). Funeral services will be 10:00am, Saturday Dec. 23nd, 2017 at the LDS Chapel (55 East 350 North NORTH SALT LAKE, UT 84054). We invite all to visit and share memories. Gravesite services will be 2:00 pm at the Price City Cemetery (595 East 400 North Price UT).
