Phil Agee

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce that on September 22, 2017, at the young age of 62, our beloved Friend, Father, and Companion, Phillip “Swoop” Wayne Agee was called home from the front lines. He passed in the wee hours of the night surrounded by his loved ones, including his beloved Fiancée Lydia, and Daughter Megan, after his courageous battle with cancer.
Phillip was born on May 15th, 1955 to Hardy Linton Agee Sr. and Connie Fitzhugh Agee in Gary, Indiana. He was the youngest of six including two brothers, Michael and Linton “Pitbull”. As well as three sisters, Ronni, Rita, and Rhonda.
Growing up Phil enjoyed lots of activities including fishing with his father, but he would always brag about his high school passions of Track and Tennis. If asked he would gladly tell you that yes he ran against one of the Jackson Five in Track. As much as he had a passion for Track, his love was Tennis. Which he bravely gave up a scholarship for to serve his Country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.
While serving his Country he fought through many things while being stationed in Thailand. For as hard as it was he found his place amoung the ranks as well as a love of training many of his beloved K9’s. During his missions he found a whole new passion of Skydiving. After serving for nearly 6 years Phil settled in Las Vegas, Nevada where his passion was able to spread its wings.
Phil was able to log hundreds if not thousands of hours of jumps while living in Vegas as well as gained many friends along the way who gladly gave him the nickname “Swoop”. As he would say, “You don’t get a nickname without being good at something”. One of his proudest forms was the 8 Man Star he and his crew completed in December of ‘78.
Phil became the proud owner of 3 Mountain Communication, to which many know him from. During his time in Carbon County he was able to help many businesses with their phone and security needs and made many lifelong friends along the way. Many know him as the phone guy but might not know his weekend passions of horseback riding, fishing, camping, hunting, target shooting, and his main love his Harley Davidson.
Phil was truly an amazing man who came over so much in his life and always came out stronger than any man should have to. He will continue to live on in the hearts of all those he loved as well as his amazing stories of life. We love you Daddy, Always.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, 6:00 p.m. at the Price Elks Lodge (57 West Main Street) in Price with Military Honors.
The family would like to ask in lieu of flowers please make a donation in Phil’s name to one of the following Military Foundations, Wounded Warriors, Fisher House, Operation Home Front,
