SPRING GLEN- Jacqueline Rae Irving Harwood, age 78, passed away quietly in her home on Sunday, October 1, 2017 after a courageous battle against cancer and ongoing dialysis while surrounded by her family.
She was born in Bountiful, Utah on March 9, 1939 to Oral and Ilene Reed Irving.
She married Gary Rich Harwood on March 19, 1957 in Elko Nevada and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple in 1964.
They lived in Helper, Utah for the next 60 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her Husband of 60 years, Gary Rich Harwood; nine children, Gary (Patty) of Helper, Arthur of Helper, Allan (Carol) of Wyoming, Shelley (Ken) of Payson, Clayt (Jackie) of Florida, Brett of Helper, Kami of Price, Frank (Sabrina) of Minnesota, Justin (Arica) of Price; 5 sisters and one brother; 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Oral Irving; mother, Irene Vanderwerff; grand-daughter, Christina Harwood; younger sister, Patti Hepworth; younger brother, Cecil Irving; daughter-in-law, Desiree Harwood.
Funeral service, Friday, October 6, 2017, 11:00 a.m., Helper LDS Stake Center (150 Ridgeway). Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price and Friday at the church one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt.
