EAST CARBON- Delmas Dee Houser, age 90, passed away October 2, 2017 in Provo.
He was born June 24, 1927 in Spielerville, Arkansas to William Frank and Mattie Caine Houser.
Married Christine Charlene Combs on July 26, 1949 in Montrose, Colorado. She passed away September 26, 2012.
Dee honorably served in the US Army Aircorp in Okinawa during WWII. He worked 50 plus years for Kaiser Steel and was a proud member of the U.M.W.A. local #9958. Dee enjoyed stream fishing and hunting deer. He always had to stay busy with his hands doing puzzles, a good game of checkers or chess. Dee enjoyed welding and creating mechanical devices like his pedaless bicycle, motorcycle cart for the railroad tracks and many other creative inventions. Dee loved going where the road took him on his drives. Dee loved his dogs especially Spud. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his sons, Terry Houser, Price, Nick (Karen) Houser, Cedar City, Michael Houser (Jackie), Salt Lake City; three grandchildren, Amy, Rhionna (Mike) Sanderson and Adam; two great grandchildren, Kayden and Karson.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Christine Houser; daughter in law, Coella Houser; brother, Horace Raymond Houser; three sisters, Faye Houser, Mary Dobbins, Reba Spangler; great granddaughter, KateLynn Sanderson.
Funeral service, Friday, October 6, 2017, 11:00 a.m., East Carbon Community Church. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home and Friday at the church one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery.
