Patsy James

HELPER- Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Patsy Karen James, age 62, passed away September 21, 2017 surrounded by her family and lifelong friend.
She was born October 28, 1954 in Price, Utah to Elaine Howard Swink.
Married Gregory Michael James October 6, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had a daughter Stacie James. She is and always was the light in her mother’s eyes and a pain in her father’s butt (a forever joke between them).
Patsy’s grandsons were the light of her life and she spoiled them with special gifts and goodies. She had a close relationship with her three nephews, Bob, Chris and Dagen Downard. In her younger years Patsy enjoyed driving in the demolition derby. She was the first female driver to compete with the males. She won several trophies over the years. Patsy was an avid bowler, fisherman and loved to sleigh ride. Her latest love was playing bingo and Yahtzee with the staff and residents at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehab.
Survived by her husband, Mike James; daughter, Stacie James; grandchildren, Austin Archuleta and DuRyan James; sisters, Teri Downard and Pam Swink; brother, Dan Swink; several nieces, nephews and cousins; best friend, partner in crime and bubblegum music listener, Judy Payton; fur babies, Peppie and Brownie.
Preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Paxton; sister, Sharon Bodily; in laws, Frank and Agnes James.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehab, Dr. Potter, Dr. Lauridsen, Castleview Dialysis and Symbii for your love and compassion towards Patsy.
Memorial service, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
