Though rough weather tested the golfer’s’ performance, the Dinos came out with 4 individual players in the top 6. Ryker Smith won the title of region medalist with a first place score of 73. “He played solid all day and didn’t make many mistakes,” explained coach Tom King. Other varsity players, Zade Carillo and Nick Olsen shot a 97 and 103 respectively.
In the JV division, Kaden Slavinsky shot a low 83, and Tyler Yaklovich returned with a 92.
Slots to compete at the state tournament will be determined by Coach King. “They will be working hard in practice to qualify, and we’ll see what they do,” he said.
