Bob and Mary Ann Branch

Bob and Mary Ann Branch are this year’s Wellington Pioneer Day Parade Grand Marshals. They are both lifelong residents of Carbon County.
Bob is a 4th generation Wellington native and is the son of a Wellington coal miner and farmer.  Mary Ann, the real coal miner’s daughter, claims to have lived in almost every area coal camp.
They married in Wellington almost 60 years ago.  They have five children, 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  Bob has lived 65 of his 80 years in Wellington after a short stint in Price.  He spent 43 years in the mortgage loan business while Mary Ann was in real estate.  The couple loved to camp, hunt, travel and ride four wheelers in the mountains until they retired from these adventures. Both loved sports all their lives and coached many softball teams throughout the area.
They now enjoy following their grandchildren in their sporting events and enjoy being with their large family.  Most summer days you can find them sitting on their deck entertaining family and friends.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. on July 22.
