EAST CARBON-Steven L. Stella “Stella”, 64, after a valiant fight with cancer, passed away in East Carbon, Utah (the city he loved) surrounded by his friends “his extended family” on April 16, 2017.
He was born in Price, Utah on June 22, 1952 to Laurence (Larry) and Dolly Feichko Stella. The little brother of Valerie Stella-Compagni.
A graduate of East Carbon High School in 1970, Stella lived his life his way on his terms with no regrets. A renowned car painter and customizer, he was the winner of the Von Dutch Award for pin striping and Best Paint at the Grand National Roadster Show in 2000. He was most recently employed at Bo Huff Customs.
Survived by his parents, Laurence (Larry) and Dolly Stella; sister, Valerie (Van) Compagni; nieces, Vanessa & Cassie Compagni; great-nephew, Dante Compagni; his dog, Kusko; “his extended family”, Randy & Cari Hunt, Junior Huff, Selestino (Tino) Lujan, Marcus Palacios and many others.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Joesph & Elizabeth Feichko and John & Mary Stella.
A special thanks Michael, Cassie, Daleann & Dr. Potter from Community Nursing Services, Father Rafael Murillo and to Randy & Cari Hunt for allowing Stella to live his final days on his terms and the way he wanted. We will always be grateful!
Funeral service, Saturday, April 22, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
