Dee Bikakis

PRICE – Despina “Dee” Spanogians Bikakis, 90, passed away at the Parkdale Health and Rehab Center on April 7, 2015.
Despina was born Feb. 8, 1925 to James and Rose Spanogians in Langelotha, Pa.
Dee was a very caring and loving person. She was a member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church where she participated and assisted with the Greek Festival and other events. She was also a member of the Greek Ladies Society, the Philoptochos Society. She was also a cafeteria worker for the Carbon School District for many years.
Despina fell in love with her caring husband, Mitchell Bikakis and they were married on Feb. 9, 1947. They had two children, a son, Terry Bikakis; daughter, Rose (Bill) Barnes. She was delighted with her three grandchildren, Megan (Ricci) Camberlango, Glenna and Thomas Etzel.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell; her parents, sister, Mary Karakis; and brother, Dr. Angelo Spanogians.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who assisted our mother with her care including Castleview Hospital, Parkdale Health and Rehab, Dr. Nick Hanson, Dr. Kelly Jensen, Dr. Jon Pressett, Rev. Brendan Pelphrey and the staff of Mitchell Funeral Home.
Funeral service, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 11 a.m., Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church (61 South 200 East) in Price. Trisagion service, Tuesday evening, 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Committal, Price City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Despina’s name can be made to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, P.O. Box 688, Price, Utah 84501.
