With a team comprised of many young players, no one would fault the Carbon High Boys Basketball team for having a few bumps in the road during the season.
But, while the Dinos have experienced their fair share of difficulties this season, they’ve also been on the cusp of winning several down-to-the-wire games.
In another example, the Dinos held a one point lead at the half on the road against 2A South Sevier.
But in the third quarter, South Sevier’s offense began converting buckets eventually taking control of the game going into the fourth quarter.
It was another example of the close games the Dinos have played this season including two losses to North Sanpete by a combined three points.
Cole Fossat led the Dinos in the loss with a team-high 13 points.
Carbon (7-15 overall, 0-7 Region 12) will host Payson on Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.
