Herrera Family Trust – will hosting a Mexican dinner Sept. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Bingo will follow. The trust will also present a horseshoe tournament Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. at Viking Park.

Plateau-Willow Creek reunion – is planned Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. the old Willow Creek mine warehouse. Potluck dinner will start at 2 p.m. Sandwiches will be provided. Hats with logos will be available for purchase.

Carbon County Triad – meets the first Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Price public safety dispatch center. Members focus on law enforcement and aging programs to assist the elderly.

Adult drivers education class – will start Sept. 29 and continue until Oct. 14.
Sessions are slated Monday through Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Carbon High School.
Participants may register at the school.

Food handlers classes – Two-hour sessions are scheduled Sept. 30 at 9 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the public health department in Price. Test fees are required.

Learn to speak, understand English – Small group sessions are scheduled Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. at the LDS Church located at 150 South 500 East in Price.

Immunization clinic hours – Clinics are scheduled at Southeastern Utah Health District Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Women’s cancer screening – Women 50 years of age or older may qualify for a free breast and cervical cancer exams and mammograms. For information, call the public health district at 637-3671.

Carbon County Animal Shelter – AVID chip pet identification is available at the shelter.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Carbon County Family Support and Children’s Justice Center – offers crisis care for families with children from infants to 11 years old.
The crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Residents may use the nursery for respite, doctor and mental health appointments, court appearances, medical emergencies, family crisis, support meetings, divorce classes and to escape domestic violence.
Parenting classes are scheduled Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

Cell phones for seniors – are available at Carbon County RSVP. The program provides cell phones that dial 911 in emergencies at no cost to participants. For information, seniors may call the RSVP office at 637-9118.

Price library – Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., closed Saturday and Sunday.
Story time is scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. for toddlers, Tuesday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 1 p.m.
English as a second language classes are Monday and Thursday at 6 p.m. Basic literacy classes are scheduled as needed.
