Carbon, Emery ready for tennis

By Sun Advocate

On Thursday afternoon, the debut matches for the Carbon High girls tennis team took place in Castle Dale against the Spartans. Even though the squad of nine did not win a match Coach Tom Alleman was impressed by his teams effort.
“They didn’t blow us off the court,” he said, “We did great for our first time and we are a young team.”
For Alleman it boded well that they are comprised of five freshmen, two sophomores and a pair of juniors. He is looking forward to building a tradition of tennis in this comminity, something we have not had for a long time.
The team meets up with Salem Hills for their first home match on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd. The meet will begin around 3:30 p.m. at the Price city tennis courts off of 3rd East.
