Sheriff, NTSB release details on helicopter crash

Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova, along with National Transportation Safety Board Investigator Patrick Jones, conducted a press conference at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday to give further insight into a July 19 helicopter crash in Carbon County.
Cordova reported that James Ian Innes, 59, of Salt Lake City; his son Andrew Innes, 30, of Park City and their friend George McDanials, 40 of Idaho Falls all perished in the incident which took place approximately one-half mile northwest of the Carbon County airport.
NTSB official Jones reported that his organization along with the Federal Aviation Administration will conduct a full investigation into the crash.
“It will take at least five to six days before a preliminary report is posted on our website,” said Jones.
