Valerie Sanchez

MONTE VISTA, Colo. – On July 8, 2008, Valerie Sanchez passed away in Monte Vista, Colo.
Valerie was born on May 16, 1964 to Johnny Sanchez and Ellen Sanchez.
Valerie graduated from Carbon High School in Price, where she married Scott Stella and continued living while raising a family. She received an associate of science degree from the College of Eastern Utah later in her life. She later divorced, moved around a little and ended in Monte Vista residing with her loving father, Johnny.
Valerie loved to be where the weather was warm and the ocean in the distance. She enjoyed spending time caring for her furry companion, Trixie, her poodle that never left her side.
Valerie prided herself with her accomplishments in two different forms of martial arts.
She will be dearly missed by family, friends and many other lives she has touched.
Valerie was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Sanchez. She is survived by her two daughters and one son-in-law, Cassie and Carter Coates of Ogden; Cacilia Stella of Price; one sister and two brothers, Troylyn Sisneros (Mabelies) of Del Norte, Colo.; Rick Sanchez (Janet) and John Sanchez of Price; two step-brothers, Eddie and Ronnie Sanchez of Price; four nieces and three nephews, Angela and Joshua Sisneros, Courtney, Gina, Nicole, Randy and Shawn Sanchez; one great-niece and one great-nephew, Ashton Lee and Morgan Rayne Bodiford; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral arrangements are pending in Del Norte, Colo.
