Emergency personnel assist at the scene of a March 14 accident on Utah State Road 10. The mishap occurred when a northbound driver reportedly attempted a U-turn near the Emery County line, tapping the bumper of a sports utility vehicle trying to pass. The impact caused the Toyota Highlander to roll onto its side, according to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. David Bennion. Two Carbon County ambulances responded to the scene and transported all four of the occupants in the SUV to Castleview Hospital for observation, explained Bennion. The uninjured driver of the northbound vehicle was cited for making an improper turn in connection with the traffic accident, indicated Bennion.
