Angel Tree applications – are available at the workforce services offices in Price and Castle Dale, Eastern Utah Community Credit Union in Price and East Carbon and Melon Vine Deli in Green River.

CEU Christmas pottery sale – is planned Nov. 29 until 8 p.m. and Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the student center on the college campus in Price.
Active Re-Entry Christmas party – is planned for Active Access members and guests Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lighthouse. The event will include food and entertainment. RSVP with Active Re-Entry at 637-4950 by Dec. 4.
Food handlers classes – Two-hour sessions are scheduled Dec. 12 at 9 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Southeastern Utah Health District in Price.
Classes will be taught Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the health district in Castle Dale.
Test fees are required.

Immunization clinic hours – Clinics are scheduled at Southeastern Utah Health District Monday through Thursday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Women’s cancer screening – Women 50 years of age or older may qualify for a free breast and cervical cancer exams and mammograms.
Women ages 40 to 49 may qualify for a low-cost exam.

Free legal clinics – Utah Legal Services has scheduled free clinics the second and fourth Monday of the month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 7th District Court complex, located at 149 East 100 South in Price.
Residents should bring all pertinent documents pertaining to legal questions. For information, residents may contact the agency toll-free at 1-800-662-1563.
Carbon County Animal Shelter – AVID chip pet identification is available at the shelter. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Carbon County RSVP – Residents who would like to lend a helping hand or need the assistance of volunteers may contact the Price RSVP program at 637-9118 or call the East Carbon office.
Carbon County Family Support and Children’s Justice Center – offers crisis care for families with children from infants to 11 years old.
The crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Residents may use the nursery for respite, doctor and mental health appointments, court appearances, medical emergencies, family crisis, alcohol/narcotic anonymous meetings, divorce classes and to escape domestic violence.
Parenting classes are scheduled Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
The center is also collecting donations for displaced families. Furniture items will be accepted only if the center has families in need.

Child care resource and referral – For information on becoming licensed child providers or obtaining referrals, local residents may contact the program at 613-5619.
Cell phones for seniors – are available at Carbon County RSVP. The program provides cell phones that dial 911 in emergencies at no cost to participants.

Price library – Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and closed Sunday.
Story time is scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. for toddlers, Tuesday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 1 p.m.
English as a second language classes are Monday and Thursday at 6 p.m. Basic literacy classes are scheduled as needed.

The library offers Internet accessible computers and will obtain books for patrons through the inter-facility loan program.

Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation – is a non-profit group dedicated to the care of orphaned, injured or ill wildlife. The group needs adult volunteers.

Recovery classes – are scheduled Monday to Friday at the Golden Rule Mission in Helper from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Classes include relapse prevention, Big Book, 12 steps, traditions, spirituality and life skills. AA is 6 p.m. daily.
Price Recovery group – meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the CEU computer building.
Reach to Recovery – The American Cancer Society program matches a diagnosed breast cancer patient with a trained survivor who can answer questions and address concerns.
