Karissa Law and Olivia Fowler go up to block a shot in an earlier game.

The eagles began SWAC conference play on Friday, September 20th against Northern Idaho. Playing in one of the strongest conferences in the Nation, the struggling team from Price is going to have a tough run through conference play this season.
On Friday they played tough, but fell short to Northern Idaho to open their conference season. They dropped their home opener 27-30, 20-30 and 10-30 to go 0-1 in SWAC action. No scores for the Saturday match-up against 12th ranked Southern Idaho were available at press time.
SO far this season CEU has been plagued with a lack of a good offensive attack. Their opponents have racked up a collective 113 kills against 19 total kills by the Eagles. Karissa Law, freshman from Hurricane, leads the team with five.
The team will travel to Rangely, Colorado to take on the College of Northwestern’s squad this Saturday. They hope to put a win on the board against, what they hope will be a weaker opponent then what they have face so far. The team faces a long road stretch before returning home on Saturday October 20th against CNCC.
