Jordan Moynier recieves the 3A state All-Star game most valuble player award.

Despite failing to make it past the first round in the state play-offs, four Carbon High baseball players were invited to play in the 3A All-star game. Kyle Asay, Jordan Moynier, JJ Blue and Bradey Wilde were asked to participate in the game played May 26 at Lindquist Field in Ogden that pitted the northern 3A team all-stars against the southern 3A All-Stars.
The four Carbon players were contributors in the 22-2 lopsided victory of the south over the north. Of the three homers hit by the south, two were hit by Dinos. Blue hit one over and Moynier also had a 3 run long ball. Moynier had a great game as he started the game on the mound and pitched three shutout innings of ball to some of the best hitters in the state. Adding in a diving catch in front of the opposing dug out, he was awarded the game’s MVP honor.
Coach Troy Moynier was at the game to watch his son and was impressed with the performance of all his players. “They all played well and were important to the win. Jordan had a great day and earned the MVP award with his overall play. The kids all showed they could play with the best in the state.”
