•Abajo Mountains. No report.
•Cleveland Reservoir. Fishing was fair over the weekend with a 1/16 oz. chartreuse jig tipped with a waxworm in 10 to 20 feet of water.
•Huntington Creek. Try a No. 10 maroon-colored San Juan worm or a No. 12 Montana nymph in pools below the forks.
•Huntington Reservoir (also known as Mammoth Reservoir). Dedicated Hunter, Chance Gomez, described fishing as good during a creel survey last weekend. He recommends a 1/16 oz. Glo-bug, tipped with a dead minnow in 10-12 feet of water. The ice is more than 30 inches thick. Tiger trout range from 12 to 17 inches. Closed to the possession of cutthroat trout.
•Joes Valley Reservoir. On Saturday, a party of five DWR anglers fished the reservoir south of the new boat ramp on the east side in 10 to 70 feet of water. Fishing was fair. They caught smaller fish under and inside the slot limit. The bite was very light. Everyone used small spoons or jigs tipped with chub meat. Biologist Justin Hart used a Kastmaster attractant 12 inches above a small pink or green ice fly, tipped with chub meat. He caught 15 fish during five hours of fishing. Special regulations apply. •Lasal Mountains. On Kens Lake, we recommend jigs tipped with nightcrawlers around the inlet. Mornings are best. The ice is about 8-inches thick. Brown trout range from 12-15 inches. Mountain reservoirs are frozen and inaccessible.
•Lower Fish Creek. Try a No. 12 San Juan Worm, No. 14 Prince Nymph, or No. 12 green scud in open water below the dam.
•Millsite State Park. State Park Manager Dan Richards reported a party of fishermen who caught their limits of 10 to 15 inch fish last Thursday just off the boat ramp. A chartreuse ice fly tipped with a mealworm or nightcrawler is recommended.
•Scofield Reservoir. Dedicated hunter Chance Gomez described fishing as good during his creel survey on Saturday. He recommends a 1/16 oz. chartreuse ice fly tipped with a piece of nightcrawler.
