According to figures from the state approximately $23.4 billion dollars worth of coal has been mined in Utah in the last 46 years. Most of this has come from Carbon and Emery Counties.
We have well over 1,000 gas wells producing in these two cash cow counties for the state.
Now there is a state budget surplus of approximately $1.7 billion and, still, there is no firm commitment to widen Highway 6 full length. Are we considered more expendable down here?
Again, this is a major artery in the state’s highway system, with a traffic overload.
Hello, UDOT commissioners? Hello?
