Elisha Harris runs the court. She had 23 points against CNCC.

After a surprising split with CSI, the CEU women traveled to Colorado to take on CNCC. They racked up two more victories with scores of 72-63 and 60-52. The team is now 11-11 on the season and 5-7 in conference play. They are tied for fourth with Snow.
Friday night’s game was led by Kendra Dalebout as she hit 12 points. It was not one of CEU’s best offensive outings. Mallory Holm added 10. Elisha Harris did not have one of her better games as she turned the ball over six times. Staci Little drove the defense with nine rebounds and four blocks to give the team the win.
On Saturday night the CNCC defense continued to hold down the Eagle offense, but Harris broke out of her slump and led the team with 16. Little was again a defensive force with 10 rebounds and six blocks. Holm, Brandi King and Dalebout each put up eight points on the night.
“Both games we came out with cold feet. CNCC played a hard and aggressive defense,” commented Coach Paur about the weekend’s games. “In the end it was our defense that won the weekend.” The team will get to enjoy a long home stretch with three home match-ups in a row. SLCC rolls into town this weekend to take on the Eagles. The women will tip off at 5:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night.
