Sylvia Clerico
PRICE – On Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at 12:30 p.m., our sweet mom and grandmother, Sylvia Brazier LeMaster Clerico, 92 years old, passed away into God’s hands in the silence of winter, leaving this earthly life to go to a better place.
She was born to Joseph Ray Brazier, her father, and Daisy Malone Brazier, her mother, in Drumright, Okla., the middle child, with one older brother, Roy, deceased, and one younger sister, Daisy Inez, also deceased.
Mom was married in a grain elevator in Texas to Ralph LeMaster, a marriage that lasted 31 wonderful years until Dad passed away in 1967. Their love for each other was shared with Granny Brazier and her two adopted daughters, Patricia Ann and Suzette Marie.
Years later, after the children were raised, mother married Pete Clerico on May 26, 1973, who became endearingly known as “Grampa Pete.” He died July 6, 1983 with mother by his side.
Her guidance, love, and religious beliefs were exemplified to everyone she knew while working all those years at JCPenney, participating in Eastern Stars and attending the Baptist Church. It was at the little church in Price where the kids grew up; where through her example, her children received her heartfelt gift of faith and love. Mom was a member of the church more than 40 years, always sitting in the fifth pew back on the left-hand side, loyal to the end.
To her children, she was both ends of the rainbow, an inspiration and the kindest person anyone would ever have the pleasure to know.
Mom is survived by two daughters, Suzette Marie Williams of Wellington; Patricia Ann (Paul) Dalpiaz of St. George; grandchildren, Patrick of Tacoma, Wash; Ralph of Helper; Malinda Dunnam of Taos, N.M.; Jeane Alfaro of Wellington; and Jessica Daisy Dalpiaz of Salt Lake City. She leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husbands; son-in-law, Orvil Williams; grandchild, Le Williams.
A celebration of life will be at the First Baptist Church of Price at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, located at 200 N. 300 East. Family will be at the church one hour prior to service. Interment, Price city cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
It was mother’s wish, being the humble person that she was, that in lieu of flashy flowers a donation in kind be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church of Price, P.O. Box 838, Price, UT 84501.
Jerry Tonne
PRICE – Our loving husband, father, grandfather and dear friend, Jerome David Tonne, age 67, passed away peacefully Jan. 5, 2007 at home while surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 1, 1939 in Perham, Minn., to Otto and Nora Stubber Tonne. Married Elizabeth Louise Melo July 21, 1977 in Wellington.
Jerry was raised on a big farm in Fairmont, Minn., where he enjoyed farming the land and caring for all the many animals they had.
After the passing of his family, Jerry moved to Long Beach, Calif., to pursue another career. While living in the area he started driving a mass transit bus from Long Beach to Los Angeles, Calif.
In the 1970s Jerry came to Price for the deer hunt with a friend, and he never left. He loved the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping so much that he just couldn’t leave.
While living in Carbon County, Jerry worked as an auto mechanic and he was very well known and trusted for his trade.
He also worked in the mines and in 1985 he retired after a work related injury.
Jerry was a member of Ascension St. Mathews in Price and he will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Survived by wife, Elizabeth Louise Tonne; daughter, Jerrilyn Louise Tonne, both of Price; son, Otto Anthony (Sherry) Tonne, Ferron; grandchildren, Tiffany Nora and Cheyanne Marie Tonne of Price, Robert Todd, Ferron; and brother, Jeffery (Arlene) Tonne, Fairmont, Minn. Preceded in death by parents.
Graveside service Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2 p.m., Wellington city cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday from 12:40 to 1:40 p.m. and Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m.
Brendon Young
PRICE/PAYSON – Brendon Clyde Young returned to his Heavenly Father on Dec. 31, 2006 after a tragic tubing accident surrounded by many family and friends. He was born to Cody and Kelly McCourt Young on April 20, 1997 in Price.
Brendon brought love and laughter to everyone he was around. His bubbly personality drew people to him.
He enjoyed all sports but especially loved baseball. He loved to draw and camp and was a Cub Scout.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by parents, Cody Young and Kelly Weight; step-dad, Dennis Weight; grandparents, Steve and Karen Young, Lowell and Lynna Gray and Clyde and Doreen McCourt; uncles, Berry (Dezarae) Young, Ryan (Jackie) McCourt, Justin (Angie) McCourt; cousins, Jayce Young and Afton, Jade and Mia McCourt; great-grandparents, Joe and LaDona Rukavina, Ned and Reon McCourt and Leslie and Lennis Helquist; and step-brothers, Austin and Dallin Weight.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 5 at the Goshen LDS Chapel. Burial, Payson city cemetery.

James Ide
PRICE – James Franklin Ide, age 69, passed away Jan. 3, 2007 at his home in Price.
He was born in Delta, on Aug. 24, 1937 to Lucian and Florence Barbara Webb Ide. Married Betty Forsythe, later divorced. Married Anita Lodeserto Rudman May 30, 1987 in Salt Lake City.
Jim enjoyed the outdoors and his favorite pastime was working in his garden. He always had a beautiful garden and he cherished every moment he spent working in his yard.
He loved traveling, bowling and caring for his two little dogs.
Survived by wife, Anita Ide, Price; son, Gary (Marilyn) Ide, Sequin, Wash.; stepchildren, Mark (Cathy) Rudman, Cleveland; Robin (Debbie) Rudman, Wellington; Daniel Rudman, Price; Suzette (Robert) Welch, Price; Tina (Scott) Fluharty, Spanish Fork; five sisters, Luella Johnson, Rifle, Colo.; Eva (Jim) LaValley, Garfield, Ark.; Audrey (Edwin) Drake, Mesquite, Texas; Bonnie (Dave) Duncan, Paonia, Colo.; Patricia (Mike) Willson, Ferron; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents.

Elva Wayne
CLEVELAND – Elva Maria Davis McFarlane Wayne, “a true lady,” age 96, died on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at home with her family gathered around her.
She was born Oct. 4, 1910, the seventh child of Ernest Edward Davis and Nancy Maria Shoemaker. She had four brothers, seven sisters, nine stepsisters and one stepbrother.
Elva married Rex McFarlane on Oct. 23, 1931. This marriage was later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple.
Elva loved to garden. She fed her family with her garden and brightened lives with her beautiful flowers. She was a beautiful seamstress, quilt maker, and an artist, beginning painting in her 80s.
She loved being the “Avon Lady” and this brought many friends into her life.
She served in many positions in the LDS church including Sunday school secretary and Relief Society counselor.
She was the Cleveland town clerk for many years, assistant postmistress, and election judge. She helped raise money for the Cleveland cemetery and spent many hours helping make it the most beautiful cemetery in the area.
She was a lovely lady, always frugal and hardworking. She raised her children with the values she had been taught by her parents.
She is survived by children, Shawna Minchey, Ernie (Joy Lynn) McFarlane, both of Cleveland; and Delvin (Juanita) McFarlane, Price; sisters, Jane (Norman) Warner, South Jordan; Margaret (Ronald) Jones, Grantsville; Norma (Everett) Walters, Salt Lake City; and Colleen (Alan) Pearson, Riverton; 12 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 39 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Rex McFarlane; sons, William Deeon and Thyrill Rex; son-in-law, Lester Minchey; great-grandson, Joseph Alma Sharp; parents; 12 sisters; and five brothers.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 8, at the Cleveland LDS Chapel. Burial, Monday, Cleveland cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Elva’s name to Rocky Mountain Hospice.
Peggy Campbell
PROVO – Peggy Aleine Anderson Campbell, age 68, of Provo, died Jan. 2, 2007, at her home.
She was born April 27, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant to Glennis Lavon and Melba Bernice Zabriskie Anderson.
Peggy married Bill Fivecoat, and together they had seven children. They were later divorced. She married Ernie Campbell, he preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 2002.
The family wishes to thanks to Don Suzanne Larsen.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at the Freedom Ward Chapel in Provo. Interment, Provo city cemetery.

LaDee Jensen
PRICE – LaDee Couchman Jensen, age 78, passed away Jan. 7, 2007 in a Salt Lake City Hospital.
She was born Oct. 22, 1928 in Winfield, Kan., to Lawrence and Ione Barnes Couchman. Married Austin J. Jensen Nov. 28, 1945 in Price; he died Aug. 31, 1967.
LaDee’s greatest love in life was her family. She loved knitting, crocheting and her home was filled with a beautiful collection of cookie jars. She loved all animals, and she fondly cared for her cats, Puddin, Rocky Road and Cookie. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Survived by loving daughters, Renee (Johnny) Higgs, Fruita, Colo.; Diana (Ray) Tousley, Monticello; grandchildren, Kevin, Melissa, Jennifer, Ryan, Heather, Darren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by parents; husband; and son, Alan Jensen.
Graveside service Saturday, Jan. 13, 2 p.m. at Price city cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price Saturday from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
