Jann Guptill explains that everybody asks her how she came up with the name Mrs. Guppy’s Fabrics and Crafts.
“My husband was called Guppy in high school. When we married, I was called Mrs. Guppy,” explained the small business owner. “So it was only natural for me to call my shop Mrs. Guppy’s Fabrics and Crafts. By the way, my husbands name is Allen.”
“I have always loved to sew and do craft things. My husband, Allen says I have a miniature craft and sewing store in my sewing/craft room,” explained Guptill. “I take great joy in the clothing I made for my family. Friends and family always ask me, what are you making for Christmas this year?”
“Owning a fabric and craft store has always been a dream of mine. I opened my store on February 2, 2005.” explained Mrs. Guppy.
“Last November I moved my store to 42 East Main Street, offering all types of sewing, quilting, painting and scrapbooking classes,” concluded Guptill.
