In memory of Mason Childs, who died in a traffic accident last December, students and faculty at Castle Heights Elementary in Price plant a tree at the school. The tree has been in a classroom since last Christmas, but the school chose to delay the event until May 11, which would have been Childs’ ninth birthday. Along with planting the tree, the school deposited a time capsule that will be opened in 50 years. Classmates also shared favorite memories of Childs and presented the work he had completed in class to his extended family, who was present for the activity.
