Construction work is well underway at the North Springs Shooting Range in the southwest of Carbon County. The facility is priced at a figure that has risen above $2 million and will provide a mock western town, long-distance shooting and other sporting ranges as well as a practice range for the Carbon County sheriff’s office. The facility is expected to be paid for primarily using funds from the Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund.
