Laurie Bowman is retiring after 18 years with the Carbon County Sheriff’s search and rescue organization. On Wednesday he was presented with a plaque honoring him for his years of faithful service. Sheriff James Cordova and county search and rescue commander Frank Pugliese made the presentation at the Sheriff’s office. In his years of service, Bowman served as both first and second vice commander of the organization, quartermaster, and state search and rescue representative for all of Eastern Utah. Bowman says he is proud to have served with such a great organization and such a great group of dedicated volunteers.
