Letter to the Editor: Winter shut downs should be halted

By Sun Advocate

Editor:
Nine Mile Road which includes 35 miles in Carbon County was at one time on the state highway department road system. Then in 1969 they removed it from their system and told Carbon County they would be responsible for it. But very little state money was given for care of it.
Nine Mile Road is very important. It brings oil and gas development to the county. That is why the B.L.M. should allow this industry to operate 12 months a year. They should change their policy about the mid winter shut down.
There is no danger to wildlife or the Indian writings.
