Ken Larson, publisher of the Sun Advocate and Emery County Progress was named small business journalist of the year earlier this month in a ceremony in Salt Lake. The award was given by the Small Business Administration to him for his pro-business attitude and his advocacy for small businesses.
Former Carbon County Sheriff Jim Robertson was awarded the Rotarian of the Year award by Rotary Club District 5420 recently. The district includes all 40 rotary clubs in Utah.
