Editor:
The War Powers Act, in which Congress gave away their power is unconstitutional and should have been repealed in its entirety in 1948. It allows the administrative branch of government to go to war, without the consent of congress. It also allows the sect of commerce broad powers in shipping and allowing business to go overseas and it is part of the reason American jobs are being lost.
It’s true we needed the War Powers Act on Dec. 8 the day after Pearl Harbor, yet it should have been repealed in its entirety in 1948.
