Jayden Horrocks and Austin, Alexis and Trevor Archibald read through some of the books the Helper City Library purchased with a $750 grant Wal-Mart gave it recently. This year the library celebrates 70 years in operation and librarian Paula Seely-Hatch says that the grant was a great way to denote the birthday. The public may look at the new collection or peruse the materials in the library Monday through Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. The library is also open Thursday from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The facility closes from 2:30 to 3 p.m. daily during the week. The library is also closed on Fridays and Sundays.
