The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce had another busy month welcoming and congratulating new and remodeled businesses in Price and Helper. In the past nine months the Chamber has been on hand to cut ribbons at 36 businesses.

Emporium Bed & Breakfast, Helper
Jim and Lil Fraughton purchased the Emporium Bed and Breakfast on Historic Helper’s Mainstreet. The Chamber of Commerce were on hand this month to welcome them to the business district.

Kokopelli Statue, Price Mainstreet
A large group of business people, city and county officials and members of the CEU Prehistoric Museum joined the Chamber of Commerce tuesday to officially unveil the Kokopelli statue on Main Street. Mayor Joe Piccolo, Pam Miller and Errold Holt were among the featured speakers.

Julianne’s Upholstery, Price
Justin, Juliane and Sydney Orth were joined in late October by the Chamber to celebrate their grand opening. Julianne’s is located at 280 West 100 East in Price.

Wells Fargo remodeled, Price
Wells Fargo remodeled it’s Price branch and celebrated with a re-grand opening and celebration in late October. The Chamber of Commerce group was on hand with their scissors to congratulate Wells Fargo on their remodel and meet banking officials. The day was complete with the horse-drawn stage coach. On hand with the chamber crew included Kerstine Fausett, local manager; Ron Bryan and Roger Williams, area presdients; Angela Davis, service manager and Steve Denison, mortgage officer.

Helper, Utah’s Christmas Town
The Chamber joined Helper City officials and the Christmas town committee in Helper earlier this month to launch the holiday events. the parade is set for Dec. 3 and 4 in downtown Helper.

Sidewalk project, South Price
City and Chamber officials join VISTA volunteers to celebrate the completion of the sidewalk near the U.S. 6 and 10 interchange. The improvements make the area more easily accessible to wheelchairs and scooters.

Nextell Communications, Price
Nextime Wireless was welcomed to Price in October with the Chamber on hand for the grand opening celebration. Above with the chamber crew is Wayne King, while in the photo below manager Carrie Keller is pictured with several Nextell officials, including David Snow and Jeff Ridge of Salt Lake, and Stephen Hatfield, and Matt McKinney of Denver. The crew presented a check for $500 to Karen Houser, principal of Peterson Elementary.
